Hi friends!
Another Monday is upon us, but hopefully many of you don’t have the Monday blues because it’s a holiday! What have you been up to this Labor Day weekend? We ventured up to Lake of the Ozarks! We have never been, and we were pleasantly surprised! It was gorgeous, and there’s tons to do! We’re already making plans to go back! If you’ve been there and have any suggestions of places to eat, see, experience, please share!
Now, let’s talk about the THREE looks I’m bringing you today!
Typically, I post looks that are more on the casual end of the scale. I am all about the daytime, streetwear vibes. If I can throw a sneaker on with it, it’s my kind of look, but occasionally I do like to put on a pair of heels for a night out with my hubby or girlfriends. So, in the spirit of that “we’re going out tonight” mindset, I bring you three looks worthy of a PM outing. The tops in these looks really are the shining stars that give each ensemble extra oomph! It’s your favorite LBT (little black top 😉 ) with a boxer-sized punch of personality! All are from Maggy London, and they are just three in an entire collection of “Night Out” styles. The entire collection is fabulous, btw. Bravo, Maggy London, bravo! It’s details like polka dot mesh, tiered material, velvet, and ruffles that are making this girl drool. I’ve got a serious puddle forming on the floor! 🙂 This is not my first time collaborating with Maggy London. I recently did a series of “Style It 2 Ways” featuring a few of their dresses and jumpsuits. Those pieces are equally as good as these tops! If you missed it, catch those looks here, here, and here.
Let’s break down each look, shall we? Though these tops are extremely different from each other, they are all black, so I wanted to give you three very different looks for you try. The great thing about each of these tops is that I could have mixed and matched any of the bottoms. Gotta love versatility!
Look 1:
This top is my fav for sure! The use of the mesh is genius, and the bodice is velvet! What?!?! So, so good. It also has a stretch to the fabric, which makes it super comfy even though it’s form fitting. I paired it with pink, peg leg trousers and black sock booties. The pink is a fun accent against the black. Really, you could wear any color you want. If pink isn’t your jam, try something different. Neon yellow if that’s more your scene. 😉 This look is also for you tomboys (like me) out there. Got to stay true to yo self!

Look 2:
This look is super simple to recreate! Just pair the top with your favorite denim, add a sexy heel, and POOF, you’re ready for a night out with your man, girlfriends… whomever. 😉 I chose to wear my hight-waisted flares. The fullness at the bottom of the jean helps balance the volume in the sleeves. Speaking of sleeves… SERIOUSLY?! These are insane! You can’t help but feel sexy in this top. Oh, and this one is also velvet! Giving me all the feels!

Look 3:
Last, but not least, we have this cute, ruffled number. It has the same polka dot mesh as the first look, but the silhouette has a more delicate demeanor. The word that comes to mind when I think of this top is “sweet.” The ruffle gives it a sweetness, don’t you think? I also love the way is looks with a pleated skirt. This is definitely a look I would wear on a date. It’s sexy and feminine, while still sophisticated. A classic pointed toe pump is the perfect finishing touch!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you feel inspired to try one or all of these looks! I would love to know how you would wear tops like these on a night out on the town!
