Well, we are half way through our journey to our new home. Missouri, here we come! This move couldn’t have come at a better time. It has literally been raining in the Seattle area for days upon days upon days. I AM SICK OF RAIN!!! I check the weather in Fort Leonardwood almost every day, and I’m thrilled that the temperature will be around 70 degrees when we arrive! HALLELUJAH! I cannot even begin to express the excitement that is oozing out of my pores at the thought of warmth and sunshine! I understand that Pacific Northwesterners have come to appreciate (some even say love) the rain, but I am not a Pacific Northwesterner, I am a Georgia girl, and I need sunshine… lots of sunshine!
We have already seen some beautiful parts of the country. Salt Lake City is definitely at the top of the list! I love it so much that I’ve decided I could live in Utah. Salt Lake has Chick-fil-A, Costco, In-N-Out Burger, Nordstrom, and Zaxby’s! What?!?!?!?! I mean, what more can a girl need?! We are heading towards Colorado tomorrow and I can’t wait to see the beautiful sites of that state. Colorado never disappoints!
Speaking of never disappointing… Loft has really upped their game lately. This pink cold shoulder sweater is giving me all the feels! I have been itching to wear it, but western Washington weather was not having it. Ultimately, I had to get creative in order to sneak this in to the rotation. A classic white button-up really is so versatile and did just the trick! I also have to mention how incredible these Joe’s Jeans are! Joe’s denim seems to fit me really well, so I always find myself gravitating towards their pieces. The raw, uneven hem at the bottom is also everything a girl could dream of! Ahhh, spring love! 😉
If nothing else, I hope this look inspires you to think outside the box, and try some different layering combinations. T-shirts and button-ups are perfect for remixing nonseasonal pieces. Spring is almost upon us (Starbucks is already declaring it’s here with their new spring cups), so don’t let the fact that the temp is a little chilly deter you from rocking those new spring must haves!
