Healthy Hair with Juice Organics

Happy Monday! I’m hoping for an amazing week for each of you!

I often get questions about beauty products I use. I know there are certain products that I swear by, and that I feel like I can’t live without. This got me thinking… the entire purpose of this blog is to inspire you, but also to act as a guide. When I find clothing that I think is amazing, I want to tell you about it; when I find a travel destination that is vacation worthy, I want to tell you about it; and when I discover a workout that seems to really work, I want to tell you about it. So, why not also tell you about beauty products that I’ve found to be great?! I want to share those with you just like I want to share the other aspects of Bourbon Blonde!

In order to share my favorite products with you, I thought it would be cool to start a segment called “Makeover Monday,” and today is my very first one! I’m starting this segment with a product review from Juice Organics! Let me be completely honest, Juice Organics reached out to me to try one of their shampoos in hopes that I would like it and want to create an Instagram post about it. I’m always excited to try new products, so of course I agreed to give them a go. So, yes, in a way this is ad-like, but remember, I was agreeing to just an Instagram post. They sent me the volumizing shampoo, with a sample of the repairing shampoo and conditioner. After trying the shampoo for a few washes, I decided that this line was worth an entire blog post! I have been extremely happy with the results! I’m committed to only posting about products that I genuinely like and use myself. Otherwise, all creditability is lost, and I’m not about that life. 🙂

Okay, lets talk why this company is great! All of their products come from organic ingredients and are free of things like sulphates, artificial colors, and silicones. For someone with color treated hair, those types of ingredients can dull my color and weaken my strands, making it appear lifeless and, well, blah. Over time, they can also make my locks a bit flat. Even though my hair is extremely thick, my strands are also literally thick strands, which results is heavy hair, resulting in hair lacking volume. Maybe it’s because the Juice Organics Volumizing shampoo doesn’t contain all those “extra” ingredients, or the particular formula of this shampoo just seems to work for my hair, but it leaves my hair with a weightless feeling that I oh so appreciate! I haven’t tried the conditioner yet, but I’m excited to. I have however tried the sample conditioner of the repairing line, and it left my hair feeling silky instead of greasy, which some conditioners can do to my hair. My hair was also easy to comb out afterward. For those thick-haired ladies out there, I know you know how important that is! I’m interested in trying the repairing line more. Sometimes it can be hard to make an accurate assessment after only one use. I like to see how I react to products over time.

What these products do contain are ingredients like passion fruit, vanilla, barely and soy proteins, aloe, and grape and apple juices! It’s always a good sign when the majority of the ingredients can be pronounced. The very first ingredient listed is organic juices of aloe! I love that! The older I get, the more important the ingredient list becomes, whether its hair products, makeup, or food. We are what we put into our bodies. The things that are growing naturally all around us have so much goodness to give, we would be crazy not to take advantage of it. I think about ancient Asian beauty routines, and all of it included natural elements like botanicals, roots, and minerals. If there is one area of the world that’s got the hair and skin game figured out, its many Asians cultures. Their skin and hair is always glorious!

That idea of going back to the basics is what drew me to Juice Organics. There products have a simplicity about them, while at the same time provide killer results. Another great thing about them… they can be found at Target! Beautiful ingredients at a great price! It’s a WIN/WIN! I’m super excited to try some of their other products, and as I try more, I will also let you know how it goes!
