Fall is definitely in the air here in Vermont. The leaves are changing, the air is starting to feel cool and crisp, and our apple trees are full of apples! This is absolutely my favorite fashion season! Don’t get me wrong, I am a summer girl. I adore the heat, but fall is the season for fashion creativity. You have to be more strategic about what you wear. The mornings and nights may be cool, but the high for the day can still reach a point of “okay, I’m sweating!” I’m from the south, and this statement rings very true for southern falls.
The key to transitioning into fall is all about layering. Jackets, hats, scarves, and boots become my best friends during this season. Just because summer is coming to an end doesn’t mean I put away all my summer clothes. I simply wear them in a way that works with the cooler temperatures. For example, this dress has been one of my summer go-to’s. It’s easy, breezy, comfortable, and the movement of the dress is just dreamy. Throw on a pair of gladiator sandals and you’re set! Now that the temps are cooling off, I’m not ready to retire this piece until next summer, so I’ll swap out my sandals for some suede booties, add a denim jacket, and a darker lip. Boom, done!!! Ready for fall!

More fun inspiration!
ALSO… today my husband and I are moving to the west coast! Super excited for this new chapter!!! With that being said, it will be a couple of weeks before my next post. I’m fortunate to even get this one out considering how hectic it’s been here while getting ready for the move. I do have some good stuff lined up for when I get going again!
Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
Megan
