Now on to the second part of our trip…
Chris and I were also able to explore a couple of charming towns along the coast of Maine. We had an amazing time soaking in the sights and taking in the local flavor. I really have a soft spot in my heart for water towns. I have always been a water girl, so if I have the choice between being near a body of water and somewhere else, I’m going to choose water. I find that little coastal towns, such as the ones we visited, usually exude a high level of tranquility and easiness. The pace seems slower, the air seems fresher, and the smiles on passersby seem more abundant. You instantly feel more at ease when you walk down the sidewalk. Don’t get me wrong, I love traveling abroad, but our great country really has so much to offer and so much for us to appreciate. I always try to take advantage when the opportunity presents itself.
Unfortunately, we didn’t have a ton of time to stop everywhere we wanted to stop, but the places we did see were well worth it. I think you’ll get the idea…
Oh…and of course I’ll break down what I wore! 😉
Enjoy!
Owl’s Head Lighthouse in…well…Owl’s Head! Haha!!!
Preppy pattern mixing for a day of exploring!
Stopped in Camden, which was filled with dreamy boutiques such a this!
Every town we stopped in was full of cute cafes and pretty flowers!
Lobster Bisque and fish tacos at The Slipway in Thomaston, Maine. When your in Maine, lobster HAS to be a part of your meal in some form or fashion. 🙂
Thanks for visiting!
Much love,
Megan
