Hello and happy February lovers! How has your week been treating you? Mine has been long, but good. We are moving out of our current place at the end of this month, so I have slowly, but surely been packing and purging and purging and packing. It seems as thought it’s a never ending process. So much to do!!!
Let’s talk about this look, so I don’t have to think about all the things I should be doing instead of this. Being a girl from Atlanta, it comes as no surprise that I follow many people from Georgia via social media (family and friends). As I scroll through their pics, I can’t help but notice how many of my peeps are talking about how warm it’s been there. Highs in the 60’s and 70’s! I’m being completely honest when I say I’m happy for them and their idyllic weather, but I also want to scream because I want that temperature here in the pacific northwest too! I am sick of cold people! I am a girl that neeeeeddddssss her sunshine and warmth! Well, as the Rolling Stones so eloquently stated, “You can’t always get what you want.” So, if I can’t have it for real, then I will channel it through this look. This is exactly the kind of transitional look I would, and will, wear once the temperature starts to rise. Thinking about transitional spring looks makes me excited for what’s to come, and we’ll be spending this spring in a new state as the army is once again sending us on a new adventure. Missouri, here we come!
I love paring A-line mini skirts with over-the-knee boots. There is something very proportional about this combination that makes me happy, especially when paired with something loose fitting on top, like this go-with-everything tunic from Loft. When I bought this tunic, I had no idea how functional it would be for me. It can be worn so many different ways! And, these boots are the type of boots you can run errands in all day, and your feet still feel good! I also love that they have a 70’s vibe because, well, the 70’s happen to be my favorite fashion decade. Another transitional piece that I consider a must-have is a light weight trench. I actually found this one at TJ Maxx and have worn the heck out of it! Many times I’ll push the sleeves up a bit to give a cool-girl vibe. Remember, the goal is for everything to look relaxed and effortless…not perfect is the whole idea!
Thanks for scrolling through! I hope this helps you feel inspired!
