Happy Monday!
I hope everyone’s week has started off on the right track. My last few days have been completely insane. We recently found out we’re moving to the west coast, so I have been sorting boxes that actually never got fully unpacked from our last move (which was just last August)! Oh, life in the military. Needless to say, as a result I am a little late getting these up, but better late than never.
These pics were taken on my last visit to Georgia. The body of water you see is Lake Burton, which in my opinion, is the most beautiful lake in the state (don’t get offended if you feel differently, remember, just my opinion ;)). There is something therapeutic about being there. I could be completely stressed, running myself ragged, but as soon as I get to Lake Burton, all of that melts away. I’m telling ya, it’s a diamond in the rough nestled right in the North Georgia mountains. I wish I had taken more pictures of the lake itself just so you could really get the image of what I’m talking about. Jeez, Megan, get with it!!! I meant to, but then forgot (apparently rational thinking also melts away when you get there). Next time…
Any time I go there, I always want to dress very “All-American,” which to me usually means stripes. I am particularly drawn to red and white stripe and blue and white stripe (Those definitely scream “All-American, right?). I have a zillion different versions of both of those in my closet. It’s kind of an issue, I know. I also wear a lot of hats when I’m at the lake. The sun can get pretty intense in the south during the summer, so I always try to protect my face and eyes.
Oh, yeah, one more thing… please, please be sure to check out the September issue of Rebook Magazine. It hits stands this week!!! Unfortunatly, I wasn’t picked as one of the six winners, BUT, I am a runner up, so I’m still in the magazine! WOOHOO!!! Thank you again to all that voted! Your love during that time was so awesome. I am one lucky girl to be surround by such great peeps!!!
Thanks for stopping in! Enjoy the lake cruising inspo!
Much love,
Megan
