Top of the morning to ya! I hope your day has started off as you planned and that the weather is glorious wherever you are. After a weekend of chilly weather, the temps are back on the rise, the sun is out, and I’m loving it! I’m also starting to notice that the majority of my posts discuss the weather… Hmmm…? What does that say about me? Well, obviously I’m greatly affected by the appearance (or lack of appearance) of that big ball of fire in the sky. What can I say? I’m a girl that craves the sunshine! This is why when I retire one day my rear end better be in a climate where palm trees grow and the sound of the ocean is within earshot! Who’s with me?!
Something else I also crave are stripes. It may be safe to say I have an obsession with them. When worn correctly, they can make you look longer and thinner, and they’re basically the print version of a neutral. I’ll pair a stripe with the most outlandish of prints for an even more outlandish look! They go with everything! Though for this post, I wanted to let this glorious print take center stage and wear it from head to toe. I first noticed these widelegged pants on the LOFT website, and I knew I had to have them and all their easy-breezy goodness. BUT… then I saw that they had a tank in the same print, and instantly I wanted to go full on matchy-matchy with those pieces. There is something about wearing the same print on top and bottom that feels more chic than wearing them separately. It’s kind of like wearing a jumpsuit that is waaaay easier to visit the restroom in! Ladies, I know you know what I’m talking about! I love a good jumpsuit as much as the next, but when you gotta pee… they become the most annoying thing ever invented! Strip it all the way off! So, this kind of has that feel without the hassle. Sweet!
The top has a mixed media feel to it with the vertical stripes in front (so slimming 🙂 ) and the horizontal stripes on the back. The front and back are also different materials. The back is THE softest of cottons, while the front has a satin feel just like the pants! Dreamy! It basically feels like you’re wearing pajamas, and who doesn’t love the comfort of your favorite pajamas?!
Yes, I am wearing this with sneaks, and I love how they look with these pieces, but you could easily dress it up with some heeled sandals! I love clothing that’s versatile! That’s really when you get the best bang for your buck, right?!?!
Top. Pants. Shoes. Sunglasses. Bandana (Fabric from Joanne’s). Lips.
Thanks for stopping by!
